As a young woman with infrequent periods i had an ultrasound that identified some cysts and i was advised that the contraceptive pill can protect you from getting more cysts on the ovaries. I haven't researched to find out if this is true, but that was the advice i was given.
That's what I have heard. I couldn't understand why they would say that to her. I starting to wonder weather it was a real GP or one of those dodgey ones from overseas that practice with no license!
